It is never too early to read to young children! Reading aloud to a child early and often is the single most important activity for ensuring eventual academic success. In this free, on-demand course, participants will explore the ways in which reading aloud helps children develop language, listening, and social-emotional development skills while preparing them to become successful readers. This free, 2-hour course also includes research-based guidelines for choosing developmentally appropriate books as well as literacy activities and resources.
