In this on-demand, online training participants will gain a better understanding of the definition of homelessness according to the McKinney-Vento Act while becoming familiar with the often unseen but growing prevalence of homelessness in Alabama. Participants will also identify the causes of homelessness and its impact on a child’s physical and mental development. Participants will gain a better understanding of their role as they are guided through best-practice strategies for ways to support children experiencing homelessness while in their care.
