The big day is finally here! Whether you’re responsible for bringing a side dish, dessert, or the star of the show—Easter ham—to your gathering this year, our original series Garden Party has got you covered! In this hour-long Easter dinner special, Trace Barnett shares his favorite recipes for green bean casserole, yeast rolls, and banana pudding.
Trace also takes a field trip to Evans Meat and Seafood where Chris Spear, head butcher at The Son of a Butcher shop in Birmingham, shows us the best techniques for preparing a juicy and delicious ham for your table.
2. Ben Hur: A Tale of the Christ (1925)
Airing: April 3, Friday at 3 PM | April 5, Sunday at 2:30 PM
Directed by Fred Niblo and starring Ramon Navarro as Judah Ben-Hur, the 1925 film is the first adaptation of General Lew Wallace’s novel Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ.
It was historic in its production and special effects. By far the most expensive film of the silent movie era, the two-and-a-half-hour spectacle was also MGM’s most profitable film for 25 years. Later, assistant director William Wyler went on to direct the 1959 MGM remake with Charlton Heston.
