Ron Ingram is an award-winning sports writer. Previously, he was a reporter and columnist for the Birmingham News, mainly covering high school sports, and serving as the high school sports editor at his departure in 2007. He later joined the Alabama High School Athletics Association (AHSAA) in Montgomery as communications director before retiring in 2025 after 18 years.
