Jennifer Morgan is a dedicated high school English teacher who is privileged to teach at Sheffield High School. She is passionate about extending learning beyond the classroom walls and strives to connect literature and language to real-world experiences. This ensures that students develop lifelong skills that strengthen themselves and their communities. She also advocates for educational travel, organizing international trips to expand students’ global perspectives.
Originally from East Tennessee, Jennifer began her teaching career under the mentorship of phenomenal leaders who shaped her approach to education. She holds a B.S. in Behavioral Science, an M.S. in Teacher Education, and an Ed.S. in Teacher Leadership and is working toward her Doctorate in Education, focusing on organizational change and leadership in rural schools.
Beyond the traditional classroom, Jennifer and her husband, who is also a public school teacher, co-lead Shoals Forest School, a summer program where children ages 3-10 engage in hands-on, nature-based learning. Whether guiding high schoolers in literature or young learners in the forest, Jennifer is committed to fostering curiosity, adaptability, and a love for lifelong learning.
Jennifer is part of the Alabama Public Television Education’a Teacher Ambassador program.
