Marbury High School
Browntown, Alabama
Jamyracle Williams, a senior at Marbury High School in Browntown, is an exceptional young woman whose life story is a testament to resilience, leadership, and a deep commitment to her community. As a friend and mentor, Lori Jhons has witnessed Jamyracle’s remarkable growth and unwavering dedication to making a positive impact. Maintaining a 3.1 GPA while actively participating in numerous extracurricular activities, Jamyracle embodies the ideal of a well-rounded individual. She serves on the Auxiliary captain leadership team in her school’s band, has launched her own video series, and is currently interning at the local co-op.
Jamyracle’s involvement in school and community organizations is extensive and impressive. Her Facebook posts and active community engagement further inspire those around her. Upon graduating, Jamyracle plans to run for an Alabama FFA state office position while attending Tuskegee University, where she will major in agribusiness and minor in plant science and natural food resources. Her long-term goals include attending Faulkner University for law school and working for the United States Department of Agriculture as an Ag attorney. Her recent activities include serving as Alabama Central District FFA Vice President, Marbury FFA Student Advisor, Alabama FBLA District 5 Committee Chair, Student 2 Student President, and Youth Leadership Autauga County Class of 2025 member, among many others.
Jamyracle’s commitment to service is deeply rooted in her desire to uplift her community. As an FFA member, she launched the Alabama Black Farmers Collective in 2024 as her Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) project. Investing in video equipment, she interviews small Black businesses and Black farmers, advocating for them and showcasing their contributions. She provides these interviews free of charge and promotes their businesses through social media. Her branding, complete with a logo and Facebook page, demonstrates her dedication to this mission. She also participated in the 2024 Indianapolis Day of Service during the National FFA Convention, clearing invasive species at White River State Park. She recently served as a page on the floor of the Alabama Senate. She has also led discussions with elementary students about the importance of farming, taught them about FFA, and participated in community cleanup efforts.
Jamyracle’s drive to serve is fueled by her personal experiences. She eloquently shared her thoughts about her late father, an Air Force veteran and firefighter, whose passing in 2020 profoundly impacted her. She described the challenges she faced and how she turned her pain into passion and purpose. Inspired by her father’s love for farming, she is now dedicating her life to supporting farmers, particularly through her work with the Alabama Black Farmers Collective. She aims to honor her family and her father’s belief in the importance of farmers by making her community a better place.
Jamyracle’s journey is a powerful reminder of the importance of investing in youth and providing opportunities for growth and leadership. Jamyracle Williams is a shining example of how adversity can be overcome with resilience and a dedication to serving others. She is a truly deserving candidate for recognition as one of Alabama Public Television’s 2025 Young Heroes.
