Louisiana Ice - Part I

More than half of ICE detainees are being held in remote rural prisons and jails that are often far from legal representation. There are more than 51,000 people currently detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. With detention centers along the U.S.-Mexico border filled to capacity, ICE is now holding more than half its detainees around the country in remote rural prisons and jails that are often far from legal representation. In the first of a two-part series, special correspondent Joanne Elgart Jennings reports from Louisiana.
