Valentine’s Day is almost here! Valentine’s Day is a great way to teach kindness and empathy, build community, and spark creativity. We've collected fun facts, resources, and PBS KIDS episodes all in one place to help you celebrate the day!

When was the first Valentine ever sent?

Cards have been shared at Valentine’s Day for over 600 years! The earliest known message was written in 1415. A French duke sent a poem to his wife while he was in the Tower of London. Below are simple cards to make at home or with your students:
