2026-2027 Teacher of the Month Nomination

Recognize and empower an Alabama Teacher. We’re honoring extraordinary educators who go beyond the lesson plan to make a measurable impact in their classrooms and communities. Nominate a K–12 teacher in Alabama for the Alabama Public Television Teacher of the Month Award of $1,000 to using in ways to support their classroom.

How It Works

• Use the form below to nominate a deserving teacher and share how they’ve made a difference.
• Nominated teachers will be invited to submit a brief classroom impact plan.
• Each month, one outstanding teacher will be selected to receive $1,000 to support a classroom project with clearly defined goals and student learning outcomes.
• Nominations are reviewed on a rolling basis. Teachers who are not selected will automatically remain in consideration for future months.

Eligibility

• Open to K–12 educators at public, private, or charter schools in Alabama.
• Teachers may be nominated multiple times but can only receive the award once per school year.

Submission Deadlines

• Nominations must be submitted by 11:59 PM CST on the last day of each month to be considered for the following month’s award.
• Late entries will be considered for the following month.
