Your Favorite Programs Depend on You!

Federal funding cuts mean that viewer support is more important than ever.

We've entered a new era in the history of public media nationwide. The recent elimination of federal funding will leave Alabama Public Television approximately three million dollars short for the coming year.

Community participation made APT what it is today - a vital and vibrant public service that reaches nearly a million people each month with programming that makes the world a better place for all.  Viewer financial support has made that possible.

Now, as we face the most challenging, pivotal moment in our shared journey, I am heartened to know that we will not face it alone.

While we will face difficult choices in the months to come, your continued support, which is more vital than ever, tells us that public broadcasting is still incredibly important to people in Alabama.

It’s important for parents who want to give their kids a strong start, for all of our dedicated teachers and their students seeking trusted learning resources, for your neighbors who want to connect with local news, culture, and stories that bring us closer, and to every lifelong learner who values curiosity, truth, and the power of authenticity.

Our community is our strength. Together, we have built an irreplaceable public service. And we will not give up as we weather this storm, but your continued support is crucial to a future where public broadcasting is not diminished.

No matter what, we will continue to stand together – with you – and for you.

Thank you.
