PREMIERING JUNE 21 at 2:30 PM
We're sharing awesome science all summer long! Join Mister C and his science crew in the latest season of DIY Science Time, designed for students grades 4-6. New episodes featuring exciting home experiments will air Fridays at 2:30 p.m. on APT and be available to stream on the PBS App starting June 21. A repeat broadcast will air on Saturdays at 9:30 a.m.
This season, Mister C's brilliant students explore new topics, from robots to spy science, and new locations like the McWane Science Center in Birmingham, Alabama and the alien underground world of Ohio Caverns!
DIY Science Time is hosted by co-creator Kevin Cornell, aka Mister C, a science-loving, STEM-driven educator who investigates the world through experiments, demonstrations and activities.
“DIY Science Time provides authentic learning experiences and reminds all learners that science is wherever you are!" Mister C said. “Each episode is specifically designed so that students, along with their families, can follow along and conduct experiments of their own at home by using ordinary, household objects. This does more than simply help students learn about STEM topics. The program facilitates confidence, encourages critical thinking and allows students and families to bond while learning together.”
Before hosting DIY Science Time, Mister C spent 19 years in education as a classroom teacher, principal, curriculum specialist and district administrator. Series creators Heather Cornell and Kevin Cornell, Ed.S., are Ohio Valley NATAS Emmy award-winning producers for Speakers & Beakers and the creators of Full STEAM Ahead, which airs on PBS stations across the country.
