Miller Jr. Poultry Research and Education Center successfully integrates its own system of feeding, breeding, and processing at this renowned research and education center in Auburn, Alabama.
With first-hand narratives of faculty, students, and industry leaders, the broadcast highlights the center’s monumental role in the poultry industry and showcases its impressive array of facilities and operations. Viewers will get an exclusive look at the Fortenberry Processing Plant, a unique pilot processing facility equipped with modern commercial equipment, where students gain practical experience in operation and management. The plant, the only one of its kind in the country, is highly regarded in the poultry industry. The program reveals how funding is secured to support the center’s research investigations and unveils plans for the Poultry Infectious Disease Biocontainment Facility, a secure off-site location dedicated to researching and hazardous diseases.
