Beatles Tribute Night

Join us tonight as we remember the Beatles with three special programs to launch our Spring Membership campaign.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 28!

We begin our 2026 Spring Membership Campaign this weekend with a tribute to The Beatles including a concert with the Fab Four (we have tickets available for their live show later this year in Huntsville), a new exploration of their music with Beatle-ologist Scott Freiman, and the classic Concert for George with an all-star line-up including John Lennon and Ringo Starr!

We kick off the event at 7:00PM with THE FAB FOUR – THE ULTIMATE BEATLES TRIBUTE. Whether you’ve lived through Beatlemania or discovered the band later, seeing The Fab Four brings the emotion and impact of those songs to life. It’s more than a concert — it’s as close as you can get to seeing the Beatles live. These band members aren’t just lookalikes; they’re world-class musicians who replicate even the most complex Beatles arrangements live with incredible precision.

In MORE DECONSTRUCTING THE BEATLES at 8:30PM, acclaimed “Beatle-ologist” Scott Freiman guides you, step by step, on an educational journey through several of The Beatles’ milestone albums and the fascinating stories that accompanied them. No matter how much you know about the Beatles, there’s something new here for you. Episodes in the second installment include “Deconstructing a Hard Day’s Night,” “A Stroll Down Penny Lane,” and “Here Come the Songs: The Evolution of George Harrison.”

And at 10:00PM, we cap everything off with some of the actual Beatles in THE CONCERT FOR GEORGE! On November 29, 2002, one year after the passing of music legend George Harrison, a performance tribute was organized in his honor. Held at London’s Royal Albert Hall, the momentous evening featured Harrison’s songs and music he loved, performed by a lineup that included Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Jeff Lynne, Monty Python, Tom Petty, Billy Preston, Eric Clapton, Dhani Harrison and many more. Songs include “Here Comes the Sun,” “While My Guitar Gently Weeps,” “Something,” “For You Blue,” “All Things Must Pass,” “Handle With Care,” and “My Sweet Lord.”

Alabama Public Television is your source for great music and arts, science and history, news and drama programming throughout the year thanks to your support. And since the loss of federal funding at the beginning of October, we’re relying on viewers more than ever to help pay for the programs you enjoy. Please do your part today to help us FILL THE GAP!
