On June 24, 2025, APT’s Early Childhood team had the honor of attending the Montevallo Chamber of Commerce’s 47th Annual Montevallo Community Awards Dinner. We were surprised and deeply honored to be named the 2025 Civic Leader of the Year!

Diane Landers and Becca Binford, Family Engagement Specialists, along with Tiffany Armstrong, Director of Early Childhood Education, proudly accepted the award on behalf of APT and our entire Early Childhood team.

Five years ago, APT selected Montevallo as our Learning Neighborhood for the Ready To Learn Grant. Since then, it has been an incredible journey working alongside so many dedicated community partners and amazing families.

Over the years, we’ve hosted family and community engagement sessions, science and math camps, Learning Neighborhood Partner meetings, and attended countless local events. While the Ready To Learn Grant has officially ended, Montevallo will always hold a special place in our hearts. 💛

We’re excited to continue supporting this vibrant community—and families across the state of Alabama—for many years to come!
