Sure you’d expect us to be wearing the green on Saint Patrick’s Day, but this year we couldn’t wait to start the celebration! If you’re thinking you’re even just a wee bit Irish, join us for the incredible story of that small island, take a look at some of its marvelous sites, and enjoy its music.

Narrated by award-winning actor Colin Farrell, FROM THAT SMALL ISLAND: THE STORY OF THE IRISH  at 1:00PM tells the fascinating history of an island people who have truly left their mark on the world. Six million people live on the island of Ireland, but more than 80 million people worldwide say they are Irish. What does that mean? How have we been shaped by our history? Our geography? Where did we come from? Where did we go?

At 3:30PM on EXPLORING IRELAND WITH MICHAEL, Irish singer Michael Londra uncovers Irish destinations steeped in culture and history, meeting local artisans and sampling traditional cuisine along the way.

On THE GREAT IRISH SONGBOOK at 4:30PM, join internationally acclaimed band Dervish and a stellar lineup of artists to celebrate the powerful Irish tradition of song. Special guests include David Gray, Imelda May, Moya Brennan (of Clannad), Indigo Girls, Kate Rusby, Brian Kennedy and more.

We close our celebration with one of our most popular modern Irish exports in CELTIC WOMAN 20TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL  at 6:00PM. Celebrate 20 years of spectacular Irish music with a new concert filmed at the Helix in Dublin – the very same venue where the first Celtic Woman PBS special was filmed 20 years ago. With fan favorites, new arrangements, and stirring originals, this emotional evening features a stellar lineup of eight world-class Celtic Women, backed by a choir, orchestra, dancers and a full band. Sure enough, we have tickets to Celtic Woman’s live concert in Huntsville on March 31!
