MUSCLE SHOALS TO MUSIC ROW  is doing something different this month. Instead of the usual individual performances we’ve been enjoying, the series takes a special look back at an amazing set of concerts that took place in the Shoals over recent years, beginning in 2018 when the Fiddleworms, with their musical friends and heroes, began raising money for local charities.  Their “Muscle Shoals Meets” concerts celebrated great bands with performances by multiple musicians and groups.  See how the Shoals music community came together to stage these performances and enjoy highlights of the shows.

Muscle Shoals Meets the 70s Episode I “The Beginning” – May 7 & 9
In 2018 the Fiddleworms, with their musical friends and heroes, begin raising money for local charities by putting on their Muscle Shoals Meets Concerts. This Episode includes performances by Jamie Barrier, Eric Erdman, The Shoals Strings, Lenny LeBlanc, Gary Baker, Ashley Brown, Jimmy Nutt, Matt Prater, Weston Stewart, The Shoals Sisters, Cissy Guin, and Angela Hacker.  Songs include “Fire and Rain,” “Falling,” “I Wanne Be Sedated,” “Convoy” and many more.

Muscle Shoals Meets the 70s Episode II “Doing the Work” – May 14 & 16
The Fiddleworms fight their nerves as they rehearse with their friends and heroes. This episode includes performances by Christopher Mefford, The Shoals Strings, The Polyester Horns, Lenny LeBlanc, The Shoals Sisters, Kirk Russell, Gary Baker, Cissy Guin, Matt Prater, Kelvin Holly, and Donny Carpenter.

Muscle Shoals Meets the 70s Episode III “Healing” – May 21 & 23
The Muscle Shoals Meets Shows continue to grow as the Fiddleworms transition into raising money to try to build Special Needs Playgrounds. This episode includes performances by Corey Jones, The Shoals Sisters, Kelvin Holly, Cissy Guin, Jimmy Nutt, Natasha Nix, The Polyester Horns, The Shoals Strings, Bob Wray, Wayne Chaney, Donny Carpenter, Matt Prater, Eddie Martin, Jamie Barrier, Angela Hacker, and Kirk Russell.

Muscle Shoals Meets the 70s Episode IV “Playgrounds” – May 28
The Fiddleworms and Friends wrap up the Muscle Shoals Meets the 70s Concerts and build two more Special Needs Playgrounds in their Hometown. This episode includes performances by The Shoals Sisters, Lucie Tiger, Carla Russell, The Shoals Strings, Cissy Guin, Rob Aldridge, James LeBlanc, Angela Hacker, Monkee Wammack, The Polyester Horns, The St. Bartholomew and Trinity Episcopal Choir, Earnest Davis, and James Counts.
