The American Revival is a new traveling festival of hope and connection, created by filmmaker Nicholas Ma, that brings people together across divides: political, cultural, and spiritual. Last October in Montgomery, the Revival featured world-renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma, award-winning actor Alfre Woodard, acclaimed singer-songwriter Valerie June, Speech Thomas of Arrested Development, Electric Blue Yonder, Johnathan Michael Avant, and more local artists. Troy University Television recorded the October concert, co-produced by Montgomery non-profit MAP360, at Troy University’s Davis Theatre for the Performing Arts.
