HUNTSVILLE Nov. 1-4

The Wall That Heals, a three-quarter-scale replica of The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C., and its companion Mobile Education Center, is coming to Huntsville and will be on display November 1-4 at John Hunt Park, 2151 Airport Road in Huntsville. The Wall That Heals - Huntsville is presented by the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF), the founders of The Wall memorial in Washington, D.C. Brought to you in partnership with the City of Huntsville, Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation, AUSA Redstone-Huntsville Chapter, and the Huntsville Madison County Veterans Memorial.

In March of this year, APT helped students in classrooms throughout Alabama and around the country experience the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. in a live, one-hour interactive field trip. Student reporters conducted interviews and visited the Memorial with a veteran, and students in classrooms were able to interact with the student reporters through online polls. The live event was seen by nearly 190,000 students and APT later shared a recording of the field trip with the general public in a broadcast on Memorial Day.

“We’re proud that so many people were able to see and experience the Memorial in Washington through our online field trip,” says Clem, “The event and the broadcast both touched lives – and we know that The Wall That Heals will be a truly powerful experience to anyone who can come to Huntsville.”

John Perry, Chairman of The Wall That Heals – Huntsville stated “On behalf of TWTH-HSV committee, we are honored to bring “The Wall That Heals” to Huntsville. This will be a somber event for our Vietnam War veterans as they view the names of over 58,000 names of men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
