The story of the Marquis de Lafayette, the French aristocrat who aided America's quest to become independent from Britain and then helped start the French Revolution, as seen through the eyes of his modern-day descendant, Sabine Renault-Sabloniere. The doc features dramatic re-creations, animation and remarks from Lafayette scholars, including Robert R. Crout ("Lafayette in the Age of the American Revolution"), James R. Gaines ("For Liberty and Glory") and Gonzague Saint Bris ("Lafayette").
