Quilting in 3d

By nature the quilt sandwich of batting, fabric and thread creates dimension. Part of the allure of contemporary quilting is that we take dimension one step further with surface design. Barbara Schneider starts out with 3D leaf quilts. This is true three dimensional fiber art - a lesson in shape, texture, light and shadow. Then, Lynn Krawczyk has a 3D project and fabric covered pins. Finally, Vanessa Christenson has a demonstration of ruffles. Learn the different types of ruffles based on number.
