Alabama Public Television’s (APT) licensee WLRH Public Radio in Huntsville, Alabama is seeking a full-time Radio Program Producer. APT is the nation’s first public broadcasting network, nationally recognized as a leader in education. WLRH is Alabama’s original public radio station with deep ties to the diverse cultural communities of the Tennessee Valley.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as local host for Morning Edition, All Things Considered and other programs, as needed.
- Creates on-air and online content to support WLRH’s public service mission to inform, educate and inspire
- Provides production support to WLRH’s Public Service Announcement program
- Participates in membership activities, including fund drives and WLRH-hosted community events
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Six (6) months of experience in a commercial or non-commercial broadcasting, print, or online media outlet.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Google Suite, Adobe Audition, Zetta, Grove, Composer, FTP and other broadcast-related programs
The salary range is $27,820.80 – $55,375.20.
