Alabama Public Television is seeking a part-time Promotions/Membership Specialist (20 hours per week) for our public radio station, WLRH 89.3 FM/HD in Huntsville, AL.  The Promotions/Membership Specialist will work collaboratively with the Director of Radio, Senior Promotions Specialist and other WLRH staff members to help with membership, station events and other fund-raising activities. This position will also help communicate with WLRH’s leadership donors and community partners to generate membership support. This position will also perform general office duties as assigned.  NOTE:  This is not an on-air position.

Qualified candidates need an intimate knowledge of WLRH programming, and WLRH listening audience and service area. Candidates must be able to work alone and within teams, have good organizational & communication skills (oral & written), strong computer skills (including Microsoft Office, Google Suite and Adobe Acrobat), and experience with social media. Other preferred skills (but not required) are any combination of training and experience equivalent to:  Graduation from a four-year college or university with major course work in public relations, communications, advertising, history, education or other related fields, experience in promotions and/or fund-raising. Graphic design skills are a bonus.
