Percy Haley shares his career path in manufacturing. As a high school student, Percy participated in machining classes at Madison County Career Technical Center where he earned a safety certification, CNC programming certification, and placed second in a Skills U.S.A. contest. After graduating high school, he received on-the-job training as a machinist specializing in aerospace parts and medical instruments at Brown Precision, Inc. in Huntsville, Alabama, where he is now currently employed full-time. Annual income for machinists like Percy can begin at $46,000, and within a few years can climb as high as $100,000.
