Summer and After School Learning (SASL)

Alabama Public Television offers this 2-hour interactive hands-on workshop that introduces participants to the Summer and Afterschool Learning Kit, an educational kit geared towards summer and afterschool professionals who work with children ages 4-8. The kit contains over 40 theme-based activity plans designed specifically to meet the needs of children in extended-care programs. In addition, the kit contains a combination of DVDs of PBS Kids programs, more than 25 children’s books, and hands-on activities cards designed to promote learning in summer or after-school settings.
