Huntsville Transmitter Update

APT's Huntsville area transmitters WHIQ Channel 25 & WLRH on the UAH campus are undergoing maintenance starting this week.

TUESDAY, OCT. 31 UPDATE

This Thursday and Friday, November 2 - 3, WHIQ Channel 25 will be OFF-AIR while a tower crew repairs the tower lights. The WLRH (UAH) will be on low power.

Next Tuesday, November 7, power will be shut off for Alabama Public Television's Huntsville area transmitters, WHIQ Channel 25 and WLRH, for maintenance. The station will be off the air beginning at 9 a.m., but we expect service to be restored before 5 p.m.

Friday, November 10, WHIQ Channel 25 and WLRH may experience momentary lapses in service, but this is expected to be minimal if it happens at all.

When any of our transmitters are down due to maintenance work or any other reason, it is possible to live stream APT broadcasts on the WATCH page or on the free PBS App, available for phones, tablets, smart televisions, and on Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple TV and Chromecast.
