The coronavirus pandemic has affected everyone and every part of our lives this year. Many are staying home and will miss the traditional meal with family that they have experienced all their lives. Our thoughts are with you - and with those who choose to gather as well.
During this year - our 65th anniversary - Alabama Public Television's vital role serving education in Alabama became more visible than it has been in many years. We adjusted our broadcast schedule to serve pre-K through 12th grade students when schools closed in the spring. We created extensive new online resources to go with the broadcasts. We initiated livestreaming of broadcasts on our website to increase accessibility to families. And we worked with Alabama Schools to provide resources for new school routines in the fall.
We are thankful for the tremendous viewer support we've received during this difficult time. Now it's time to prepare for a new year. We look forward to meeting whatever challenges 2021 offers - and we ask for your help to make it possible. Please give today. Our goal is 1,000 new members by the end of the year.
