We cordially invite you to a swanky, southern summer celebration, Garden Party - Celebrating Summer! Garden Party is a cooking and gardening show starring Alabama homesteader, author, cook and entertainer Trace Barnett.

Barnett uses cheeky humor to teach sustainable gardening hacks and shares heartfelt stories while preparing old family recipes with a modern twist. With years of experience, he has mastered the art of entertaining an array of guests, from the Alabama governor and foreign dignitaries to the most discerning southern mawmaws.

“Fans of the YouTube series already know Trace is not only full of gardening know-how, budget-friendly tips, and incredible southern recipes, but he is also the perfect party host,” Executive Producer Heather Daniels-Whitson said.

Trace is joined by Birmingham's award-winning caterer, Kathy G of Kathy G & Co. for recipes and party tips that will light up your Fourth of July!

"Having the renowned caterer and my dear friend Kathy G join our summer celebration was an absolute delight,” Barnett said. “Our collaboration on countless events has been a masterclass in elegance and culinary excellence. Each occasion with Kathy is a reminder of the invaluable lessons I've gained in the art of entertaining and the joy of cooking."

This special doesn’t skimp on the flavor or the details. Trace and Kathy spill all their tips and tricks for hosting the perfect 4th of July party or summer get-together.

But the real question is: what’s on the menu?

Viewers can expect to find all the summer favorites–tomatoes, corn, watermelon–made up in surprisingly delicious ways.

Watch Garden Party - Celebrating Summer on Saturday, June 29 at 1 p.m. on APT or stream it on the PBS App. Don’t miss the next Garden Party upload on Alabama Public Television's YouTube channel.
