2024 CELEBRATION OF ALABAMA ARTS

Every other year, the Alabama State Council on the Arts shines a spotlight on exceptional Alabamians and their contributions to arts and creativity.  The honorees reflect the breadth and richness of creativity, commitment, generosity, and leadership.

This year, ASCA presented awards to incomparable actor and director Greta Lambert; renowned photographer Chester Higgins; dedicated literary arts  advocate and poet Jeanie Thompson; acclaimed visual artist Pinky/MM Bass; notable arts administrator and musician Russell Gulley; passionate community arts leader and visual artist Kevin King; esteemed dancer Monique Ryan; and accomplished visual artist and iconographer Elias Katsaros.
