Alabama’s State Archives
SUNDAY, SEPT. 16 at 11:00AM - 1:00PM
Join APT for a special evening of DISCOVERING ALABAMA celebrating Alabama's Bicentennial. In a brand new episode, Doug Phillips explores Alabama’s State Archives – an amazing repository of Alabama history – from ancient times to the modern age. After that, discover the story of Alabama’s many State Capitols, from Old St. Stephens to Montgomery. We'll conclude the evening with DISCOVERING ALABAMA'S "Whooping Cranes."
Support Alabama Public Television while we celebrate Alabama's Bicentennial and you can receive a special Discovering Alabama Bicentennial DVD, featuring the two episodes on “State Capitols” and “State Archives.” The 2-episode DVD is available with your one-time gift of $84 or when you become a Sustaining giver at the $7 monthly level.
If you’re interested in learning more about Alabama, take advantage of another special offer: One year of Alabama Heritage Magazine, the beautiful quarterly publication that explores Alabama’s history and culture. Receive Alabama Heritage when you make a one-time gift of $120, or at the $10 Sustainer level.
You can ask for both the Discovering Alabama Bicentennial set and Alabama Heritage with a one-time gift of $180 or ongoing Sustaining gift of $15 per month. Along with any of these gifts, you’ll also receive access to APT’s member-only, digital video library, APT Passport. And if you ask for Alabama Heritage or the combo, you’ll also receive the APT Member Benefit App with 2-for-1 deals at restaurants and attractions across Alabama.
