New Music Series

Muscle Shoals to Music Row "Live"
Thursdays at 10:00pm & Saturdays at 11:00pm

A few years ago, the beautifully-crafted documentary Muscle Shoals by filmmaker Greg Camalier brought national attention to the northwest Alabama city and its tremendous impact on the American music industry. As one singer/songwriter joked at the Alabama Music Hall of Fame induction ceremony a few years ago, you can’t throw a stick in Muscle Shoals without hitting a guitar player. Talented musicians from the Shoals area continue to make waves in the music industry, and make their way to Nashville’s Music Row, famous for its place in country, gospel and contemporary Christian music.

Now APT is proud to introduce MUSCLE SHOALS TO MUSIC ROW LIVE, a new television music series produced in the Shoals by the Sam Phillips Music Corporation and featuring many of these talented performers, as well as artists and songwriters from Music Row and around the world. The company has been producing a two-hour radio and webcast version of Muscle Shoals to Music Row Live for several years on, and airing it live on their radio stations in the Tennessee Valley (WXFL-FM 96.1 Florence/Muscle Shoals) and Southern Middle Tennessee (WLVS-FM 106.5). The new television show will give these performers a statewide audience in Alabama – and possibly in other states in the future.

“We’re excited to have this opportunity to show the incredible musical talent performing here in Alabama,” says APT executive director Roy Clem. “It’s great to be working with the family of the legendary Sam Phillips and continuing his legacy of discovering great talent and sharing their music with the world.”

MUSCLE SHOALS TO MUSIC ROW LIVE premiered July 6 with the legendary country group Shenandoah. Upcoming shows feature The Steeldrivers (July 13), James Otto and Big Al Anderson (July 20), The Locash Cowboys and Jason Matthews (July27).
