(MAY 2, 2013) CAPITOL JOURNAL reports on the House taking up a sweeping gun bill that would make changes to laws dealing with concealed carry permits, guns in workplace parking lots and carrying guns in public. We'll also report on a proposed substitute Alabama Accountability Act amendment that would, among other things, make clear that families already in private schools are not eligible for tax credits. CAPITOL JOURNAL's Karen Brown will have an in-depth report on 100-million dollars in funds for coastal restoration projects, including a proposed Gulf Shores conference center. And we're joined by Representative Jim Carns of Mountain Brook, who discusses Jeffeson County's finacial woes and legislation to help offset them.
