Nationally problems in the mortgage industry have people concerned about the state of the real estate industry. Fewer homes have been sold in Alabama so far in 2007 compared to last year. The Mortgage Bankers Association reports mortgage applications decreased last week nationally. Robert Strickland Executive Director of the Alabama Housing Finance Authority and Todd Cheney President of the Alabama Mortgage Bankers Association discuss the state of the housing market in Alabama.
