Former Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta says governments need to look for new ways to fund building and maintaining transportation infrastructure. Mineta spoke at a statewide transportation conference in Montgomery. Mineta believes gas tax revenue will decline as more work is done to reduce America’s oil dependency. Mineta talks about the serving as Commerce Secretary under President Bill Clinton and Transportation Secretary for President George Bush, 9/11, and the importance of transportation for the country.
