Alabama Public Television provides live coverage of the inauguration ceremony for Alabama Governor Robert Bentley in Montgomery. Coverage will include the inaugural parade in the morning and the swearing-in ceremony at the State Capitol around noon, plus special behind-the-scenes reports on the inauguration events and a look at the history of Alabama gubernatorial inaugurations. "Inauguration Day is going to be a celebration of all that is good about our state," Bentley says. APT's cameras will provide viewers throughout the state with an opportunity to witness it.
APT has been covering gubernorial inaugurations for decades. In fact, the inauguration of Governor Jim Folsom in 1955 was one of the very first events broadcast on Alabama Public Television.
