Saturday, October 28, 2017 10am - 1pm
Alabama Public Television, The Fred Rogers Company and PNC Bank are proud to present “Be My Neighbor Day” – a special event bringing families together and encouraging volunteerism – Saturday, October 28 at Huntsville-Madison Public Library in Huntsville, AL. Popular PBS Kids characters Daniel Tiger and Katarina Kittycat will be on hand for a morning of free kids’ activities. Families are encouraged – but not required – to bring gently used or new sweaters (think Mr. Rogers) to donate as we celebrate many ways support your neighbor.
The activities on Saturday will be “Trolley Stops” all through the library and include:

Decorate a door hanger to give to a friend or neighbor.
2. Brighten a First Responder’s Day!
Create a Thank You note for a local community helper.
3. Show You Care!

4. When You Pretend, You Can Be Anything!
Create a Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood mask.
5 . Make Your Neighborhood Beautiful!
Plant a flower and share it with a neighbor.
6. Visit with Community Helpers!
Meet first responders and get a close-up look at a fire engine and police car.
