Subcarrier Digital Premiere

Alabama Public Television's cutting edge music series SUBCARRIER launches its second season on Thursday, Aug. 31 with the legendary Alejandro Escovedo. The program will be available on the SUBCARRIER website, Vimeo and YouTube now and will be broadcast on APT in October.

Coming out of a highly notable musical family (including sister Sheila E.), Escovedo has explored countless genres and styles of rock music over a career spanning nearly 40 years. His most recent album, Burn Something Beautiful, was written with Scott McCaughey of The Minus 5 and Peter Buck from R.E.M., and they both appear with him onstage in this episode. Alejandro Escovedo has received varied and tremendous accolades, including No Depression magazine’s Artist of the Decade Award in 1998 and the Americana Music Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award for Performing in 2006, and it’s a tremendous honor to have him inaugurate this new season of the program.

APT will be releasing more episodes of SUBCARRIER'S Season 2 on digital media channels each month. Videos will be available on the SUBCARRIER website, Vimeo and YouTube.  The series will broadcast on Monday nights at 10:30pm beginning in October.
