Title: Early Childhood Training Specialist

Description: Alabama Public Television (APT) is seeking an Early Childhood Training Specialist to work in APTís Education Division. The person in this position will work as part of a team to develop and deliver on-site quality training, resources and technical assistance to elementary teachers, child care providers, summer and after-school providers and parents.
Schedule: Full Time
Requirements: Bachelorís degree in early childhood or elementary education, child development, or related field. Recent (within the past 5 years) experience related to early childhood development and/or early literacy, 3 yearsí experience working in a preschool, kindergarten, or with primary grades. Strong oral and written communication skills, strong computer and technology skills and experience developing educational materials required. Delivery of training in a preschool environment and knowledge of Alabama DHR minimum standards preferred. The position involves in-state travel, some evening and weekend work and some lifting of training materials. A valid Alabama driverís license is required.
