Title: Family Engagement Specialist

Description: Alabama Public Television (APT) is seeking a full-time Family Engagement Specialist to work in APTís Education Division. The person in this position will work as part of a team to develop and implement on-site training, resources and technical assistance to teachers, early childhood educators, after-school providers and caregivers. The person in this position will collect, analyze and report data on a regular basis. The Family Engagement Specialist will coordinate a variety of family events across Alabama. The position involves in-state travel, some evening and weekend work and lifting of training materials.
Schedule: Full Time
Requirements: Bachelorís degree in early childhood or elementary education, child development, or related field; masterís degree preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills, strong computer and technology skills and experience developing and evaluating educational materials, and a valid Alabama driverís license.

Preferred: Three yearsí experience working in a preschool, kindergarten, primary grade and/or formal or informal after-school program. Experience working with families and planning family/community events.
