Project C: Lessons from the American Civil Rights Movement

The Children's March (clip)
Student reporters describe what they've learned about the Children's March, and then go to the historic Bethel Baptist Church to meet and interview Janice Kelsey, one of the participants in the Children's March.

Student Activism (clip)
Student reporters learn about the role that students have played during the Civil Rights Movement, and they hear from one young student activist who actively opposed the Alabama Immigration Law and advocated for the DREAM act.

Youth Activism (clip)
In this segment, we hear from young activists in Washington D.C. that were involved in recent nonviolent protests. Then panelists Ahmad Ward, Kylie Gainey, and Amanda Bennett discuss activism and answer questions from the student audience.

March for Our Lives
