Public school teachers from across Alabama can apply to attend Alabama Space Academy for Educators, a Space Camp program, at no cost this summer, thanks to funding support from the Alabama Legislature. The Alabama Space Academy for Educators runs from June 7-12, at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Ala.
This immersive professional development program brings together standards-aligned activities and lesson plans with Space Camp missions and challenges. Teachers will receive 45 professional development credits for taking part, and the opportunity to earn three graduate online education credits through the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
